We exist to make general practice safer, more efficient, and more sustainable by automating the admin that holds teams back and putting control back in the hands of clinicians. Our focus on primary care automation is driven by a deep understanding of the challenges you face.

Our story

GP Automate was founded in 2022 by Dr. Arun Notaney, a practising GP who experienced firsthand how outdated systems, repetitive admin, and fragmented workflows were pushing clinicians to burnout. Arun noticed the same challenges repeated across general practice: endless lab reports, disjointed systems, and hours of time lost that could have been spent caring for patients. This experience is the driving force behind our commitment to improve GP Practice workflow.

Arun believed technology could — and should — make general practice better. That vision led to the creation of our lab reporting automation solution, the UK’s first recognised as a Class I Medical Device. That breakthrough proved what was possible: automation could be trusted, safe, and genuinely transformative.

Since then, GP Automate has grown into the most complete clinician-led automation platform in UK primary care, helping practices standardise workflows, reduce variation, and reclaim time for patient care — all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.
